Would Any Dining Table Be Complete Without a Butter Dish?

Perhaps the butter dish is a symbol? A symbol of the dining room experience where people come together to add a dollop of butter to their Brussel sprouts, or lather a little on their crackers as they indulge in a cheese and port evening with friends. It might be for those jacket potatoes we have with fiery chilly on bonfire night, or for those family breakfasts where we consume buttery toast together because we all have a few days off work and like to wake up and ease into a substantial brunch. Whatever the reason the butter dish is a slice of British charm that no table can be without. A relatively silent addition to the array of food but a staple of our dining experience. In homage to the tradition of the autumn/winter butter dish buying frenzy...here are our top ten picks. Enjoy!
