Buying Tea Gifts - Christmas Guide

The traditional tea drinker is someone that Britain is particularly proud of. The level of the tea drinker in question depends entirely on their process. The highest level of tea preparation involves:
  • Heating the teapot with hot water
  • Boiling the kettle and putting tea bags in the teapot
  • Pouring the boiling water into the teapot
  • Waiting patiently for the tea to stew
  • Pour the tea into a classic teacup with saucer
  • Add milk to taste
The lowest level of tea preparation (and probably the most used):
  • Boil the kettle
  • Throw a tea bag in a mug and pour over boiled water
  • Remove tea bag and add milk to taste
The important thing to remember here is that the traditional tea drinker will never add milk before the water goes in or before the tea bag is out. So if your friend upholds the highest level of tea preparation you know you have a true tea connoisseur on your hands. If they flourish at the lowest level of tea prep but talk about tea A LOT, then you probably have a tea lover to buy for.  So what can you get a traditional tea drinker. This is someone who passes on herbal tea in favour of a builder’s or milky brew. Naturally, you can buy them a mug, a cup, a cup and saucer, a new high-speed kettle, or one of our beautiful teapot collections. The teapot is the cornerstone of quintessentially British tea making and we have a design for everyone.  So what kind of tea drinker is your friend?
